About CTP
At City Test Prep, we help students of all ages prepare for and excel on standardized tests and in school. Our expert tutors work one-on-one with each student to build confidence, recognize their ability to learn, and often exceed their own expectations. We provide comprehensive instruction in content mastery and test-taking strategy, forming a strong foundation for success. But we don’t stop there—our holistic and mindful coaching integrates time management, emotional regulation, and focus techniques to help students perform their best when it counts most. Because no two learners are alike, we tailor each student’s study plan to their strengths and challenges—while recognizing that the tests they take are standardized and largely predictable.

We are to students what sports psychologists and trainers are to high performing athletes.
Game-changing study tools
To address the whole student, CTP amends their robust learning protocols, by employing game-changing study tools beyond conventional test prep. These can be stand alone as well, and will benefit students who are enrolled in any study program or DIY:

She is an ordained kohenet, bringing together creativity and spirituality through coaching, leading and teaching life cycle rituals. Her desire to help others goes beyond test prep and wellness, as she is also passionate about animal rescue, and is co-founder of Animal Advocates of Contra Costa County, an advocacy organization.. When she is not coaching students, creating art, or fulfilling her duty as a kohenet, you’ll find Bara at home with her adorable rescue pups, Chata, Murphy and a foster dog or two, and sometimes, even a bivouac of monarch butterflies.
